COMPACT NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD
We spent a year brainstorming the braiding products we needed to kickstart our product rang.
Braiding hair extension came as an evidence during those debates because while keeping the hair moist it solves 2 essentials issues for Braidzlovers
Length & Volume.
It can also be worn under a wig or be sewn to weave.What's not to like in such a versatile product.
We then moved onto the packaging.
It had to fit in a bag without being folded, with a modern design, easy to pick up from the retail shells while able to contain the full length of the braiding hair extension.
Several prototypes followed, aided by the purchase of a Cricut machine, which had a steep learning curve for me, but kept the cost of having them done by a professional down.
We came up with a sexy 12 x15 cm compact box that can contain a whopping 33” and hold 90g without tangling the hair, therefore reducing by 70 % the size of the usual braiding hair packaging : A big win !
The name Mighty Box came naturally to highlight how this tiny box is able to hold so much and still stay in shape.
LESS PLASTIC , IT'S FANTASTIC
Aside from the size improvement, we ditched( with a certain relief) the 100 % plastic packaging of the usual braiding hair brands for plastic-free packaging.
The unexpected challenge of the box came with the labelling , we settled on a holographic label for aesthetic reasons , but it turned out holographic textures require vinyl which is not eco friendly at all - fortunately we managed to find a printing company willing to find the best alternative to keep our eco-friendly commitment alive
